Democrat’s Dangerous Rhetoric Comes Home

There was a terrible shooting in Alexandria Virginia on June 14, 2016 just like many other shootings that occurs when innocent people are injured or killed. However, this time it really came home when congressional Republicans where at an early morning ball practice for an upcoming charity game against their Democrat counterparts from Capitol Hill.

The gunman was a past Bernie Sander’s campaign supporter when he was running for President during the 2016 election cycle.

The gunmen asked 2 individuals that where there at the ballpark if those were Republicans or Democrats that were out on the ball field and they said they are Republicans. They thought it was strange this individual would ask them that but shrugged it off and went back to the Capitol. But once back there they heard the news of what had happened and immediately told police about the incident. Later as it turned out they identified the same man that did the shooting that asked them about the political affiliations of the ball players.

The gunman was sixty six year old James T. Hodgkinson that opened fire on the Republican Congressmen. Majority Whip Steve Scalise was injured along with 4 others. The gunman was engaged by Capitol police and was shot and later died at the hospital. Congressman Scalise was shot in the hip.

Had Majority Whip Scalise not been there with an authorized contingent of Capitol Police, that he was authorized, the death toll would most certainly have been higher, because no one else was armed.

There is another side to this story and one can point a finger directly at the Democrats for the kind of rhetoric they have said over the years, especially the last 8 years. Though Democrats and Republicans alike condemned the obvious planned attack in Capitol chambers, the Democrats do share in the blame for what happened on that ball field. Just because they only ramped up the hate towards Conservatives does not mean that they don’t bear any attachment to a terrible event. Their crime is a moral one, not the type prosecuted in a court of law, but in the court of morality!

Coarse rhetoric has been spilled many times by Democrat political figures including the past President of the United States, Barack Obama, rhetoric which has bordered on violence without actually indicating such. But it has been very easy to surmise that it was exactly the kind of pot that they were surely stirring and violence did occur many times over and they own a piece of it!
